This subject introduces students to the concepts of agent computing, and applies these concepts in the context of intelligent internet-based systems. A selection of artificial intelligence techniques are reviewed and related to agents. Students gain sufficient knowledge to be able to take more specialised subjects in internet-based computing and artificial intelligence. By the end of this subject, students should be able to design and implement a simple intelligent agent.
