Clinical studies subject

As a foundation for all specialised practice, this subject focuses on developing an in-depth understanding of selected pathophysiological concepts and processes across the lifespan. Generic and specific examples of health breakdown are explored at systemic and cellular levels to enable comprehensive patient assessment and effective clinical decision making. Students also consider diversity in two contexts: the diversity of Indigenous Australians and the importance of this in relation to their health and wellbeing; and broader sociocultural influences on health across varied settings.
