Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Finance provides an introduction to finance theory and practice. It is of particular interest to those working in the various fields of finance and banking whose backgrounds are in fields other than business, finance, commerce or accounting.
The course provides students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge of finance theory and techniques for leading-edge professional practice purposes.

Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
All applicants who do not meet the academic requirement may still be considered on the basis of:
• a minimum of at least four years' full time, or equivalent, relevant work experience.
The relevant work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service confirming the dates of employment, and the position held within the organisation.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
Course duration and attendance
The course can be completed in one session of full-time study.

The course comprises 24 credit points, made up of four compulsory subjects.

The overall responsibility for all academic aspects of the Master of Finance degree at Shanghai University resides with the Director, UTS Business School Programs (Shanghai), Dr Tiffany Hutcheson and the Dean of the UTS Business School, Professor Carl Rhodes.
